Seeking God Doesn´t Mean Singing a Song

Seeking God doesn't mean singing a song. Seeking God means to choose to leave all other worldly-fleshy things and sinful behavior in order to go after a God who is Holy and worthy of a heart that chooses Him instead. Singing to Him in His Presence then becomes the cherry on top.

Jesus rebuked those Pharisees who publicly prayed/fasted/worshiped as if that was doing God's will while they lived sinful lives at home.

Who were they trying to fool? ...Themselves and other men, but certainly not God.

So what are the popular worldly things that are so a part of our lives? Take the last movie/tv program that you watched: let's put it in front of what apostle Paul said:

WHAT APOSTLE PAUL SAID:

"...whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."(Philippians 4:8 ESV)

You want to worship God in Spirit and Truth? Then let's repent and ask the Holy Spirit to bring conviction to our hearts. God's grace empowers us to live a holy life before God so we can seek Him and then, even sing a song truly in His Presence.

¿Creemos en Dios?... PREGUNTAS INCOMODAS PARA LOS QUE DICEN CREER EN DIOS.

Si decimos tener certeza de que Dios está, de que Dios nos ve, de que Dios nos escucha, de que Dios es quien dice que es... Entonces:

¿Tu manera de hablar es como le hablarías al Señor Jesús? ¿Sentarías al Señor Jesús a ver una basura de película en el cine donde Su Nombre es blasfemado? ¿Tus gustos y actividades las podrías hacer delante del Señor Jesús? 

Si actuáramos según como decimos creer en Dios entonces mostraríamos frutos dignos de arrepentimiento. 

Si anduviéramos un día de la mano con el Señor Jesús, ¿que haríamos?

...hablarle a los demás de Él? ...pasar tiempo de comunión con Él? ...cantarle, platicar con Él?...hablaríamos con Él como le hablamos a los demás? 

Para tener una relación con Dios hay que creer que Él está...para decir que Él está, hay que actuar como si Él realmente está... Para decir que creemos que Dios es quien Él dice que es, no podemos seguir "siendo nosotros mismos" o "genuinos", sino TENEMOS QUE SER CADA DÍA MÁS COMO ÉL.

¿Demasiado RADICAL?

Leyendo en Nuevo Testamento, veo a seguidores RADICALES de Jesús siendo…RADICALES. Ellos predican la palabra, redarguyendo, reprendiendo y exhortando a otros a ser RADICALES. RADICAL es en realidad “normal” en el Nuevo Testamento.

En ningún lugar de la Biblia he encontrado donde se advierta de ser “demasiado radical” en las enseñanzas de Jesús o demasiado en seguir sus mandamientos y agradarle.

La realidad es que las advertencias son para aquellos que no son Radicales como en el Nuevo Testamento.

¿Qué quiero decir con ser RADICAL?

Ser un RADICAL es morir al viejo hombre y nacer de nuevo, vivir y caminar como una nueva criatura, que vive en santidad y fija sus ojos en la eternidad, separado de los placeres mundanos que alimentan la carne y busca agradar Aquel que nos ha salvado y reconciliado con Dios.

Esto no es ser radical…esto en ser NORMAL en el Nuevo Testamento.

Too RADICAL?

Reading the New Testament, I see RADICAL followers of Jesus being...RADICAL! They preach the word, reprove, rebuke, and exhort others to be RADICAL. RADICAL is actually the "normal" in the New Testament. 

I haven't read anywhere in the Bible were it warns about being "too radical" into the teachings of Jesus or too much into following His commandments and pleasing Him.

Actually, the warnings are for those who are not "New Testament-Radical."

What do I mean by RADICAL?...

Being a RADICAL follower of Jesus is dying to the old self and being born again, living and walking as a new creature, one that lives in holiness and sets his eyes on eternity, separated from the worldly pleasures that feed the flesh and seeks to please the One who saved and reconciled us. 

This is not radical; this is New Testament-NORMAL.

¿BUSCAS a Dios o lo que el mundo te ofrece?

Dios es galardonador de los que le buscan (Hebr. 11:6.) Buscar a Dios es dejar de buscar la satisfacción carnal que el mundo ofrece.

La búsqueda de Dios va paralela a una vida en santidad, apartada para Dios. Buscar a Dios es agradarle y no contristarle. Buscar a Dios es saber valorar Su Presencia de tal manera que le preferimos a Él sobre la basura pecaminosa de los medios de entretenimiento.

Buscarle a Él es no llamar lo malo "bueno," y no despreciar la Gracia de Dios al justificar nuestro afán a lo mundano.

Buscar a Dios es tener Fe de que Él es quien Él dice ser. Buscar a Dios es querer agradarle en nuestro trabajo, en nuestra familia, en nuestra vida de oración, en nuestro servicio, en nuestros pensamientos, en lo que decimos, oímos, vemos y hacemos.

¡Él es Galardonador! Wow!

Eve Had No Faith As She Took The Bite...

Do you consider yourself a man of faith?

What is faith? Faith is believing that God is who He says He is, a God who loves us and is also Just. Eve had no faith in God about the consequences of sin when she took the forbidden fruit and God fulfilled his warning by throwing them out from His presence.

Just as we should have faith that God's grace, through what Jesus did on the cross,  makes us free from the curse of our sin, we must also have faith that God has given us His Spirit to live in holiness and away from sin. Just as we have faith that God loves us, we must also have faith that without holiness, we will not see God.

Do you consider yourself a man of faith?

Eva No Tuvo Fe Mientras Mordió...

¿Te consideras un hombre de FE?

¿Qué es FE? FE es creer que Dios es quien dice que Él es, un Dios que nos ama y que es Justo. Eva NO TUVO FE en Dios sobre las consecuencias del pecado al tomar del fruto prohibido y Dios cumplió su advertencia echándolos de Su presencia.

Así como debemos de tener Fe en que la gracia de Dios, a través de lo que hizo Jesús, nos hace libre de la maldición por nuestro pecado, así también debemos tener Fe de que Dios nos ha dado Su Espíritu para vivir en santidad y no en pecado. Así como tenemos Fe de que Dios nos ama, así debemos tener Fe que sin santidad No veremos a Dios.
