A Dangerous Paradox

As we receive God´s grace and we praise Him for cleansing us of our sins, how can we stand and say we value God´s Grace when we defend our sinful ways? What a dangerous paradox. We constantly pursue Holiness in our lives because God says we ought to be Holy as He is. Our obedience to His word IS the visible fruit that proves we truly treasure God´s amazing grace.

“Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God” (2 Cor. 7:1).

It´s really a matter of trying to fool ourselves (that´s right, we are fools,) when we like the ungodly things of this world so much that we are willing to call “legalists” those who not only choose to live a Holy life for God, but point out to the word of God to warn others about their foolishness.

Don´t be a fool. Live a holy life. God´s not suggesting, He says “Be Holy for I am Holy.” I know that God´s Grace is so amazing that He can turn a world lover into man who lives in holiness for His Lord. I am proof of that.

There is a warning in this note. The warning is not about yourself, but fabout your influence on others. The prophet Isaiah wrote “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil…” (Isaiah 5:20.) The tendency of others to “accept” entertainment (tv and movies with blasphemies and glorification of sin) does not mean it´s right and it does not mean that we can continue living like that and not expect God to act in accordance with His warning.

The wise in heart will receive commandments; but a babbling fool shall fall. Pro 10:8
